Our main website is http://www.binomial.com and there you will find the various editions of our software and the prices (see price list at http://binomial.com/phoenix/pricelist.php ).
We are both a Canadian and American company with offices in Ottawa and Ogdensburg, New York.
We have several editions of our business continuity and disaster recovery software. The main one is the corporate edition and there is also a small business edition. In addition, we have specific versions for banks, credit unions, hospitals, data centers, Internet service providers and biotechnology companies. The descriptions for each of these can be seen at http://binomial.com/phoenix/ . The prices shown include one year of maintenance which consists of 1) all upgrades 2) unlimited telephone support, and 3) unlimited email support. After the first year, maintenance is 15% of the purchase price. A sample corporate plan is shown at http://binomial.com/phoenix/example_company_plan.php . All software can be run as a single user version or as a network version.
Both the description page ( http://binomial.com/phoenix/ ) and the price list page ( http://binomial.com/phoenix/pricelist.php ) show the number of sections and the number of teams in our plans. All of these sections and teams have the complete content included and all of this content is easily edited to suit each customer's needs. In addition, we use MS Word as the editor so the user is instantly familiar with how to use it and this also means that the content can be in any language that can be edited in MS Word. In short, a company working in French can edit their plan content in French; an Italian company is Italian; and so on. Our supplied content is in English but the user can modify that as they wish.
One of the major differences between our software and others is that we supply the textual content, which you can then edit. In competitors’ software, you have to originate and edit the content. We know that it is much easier for most people to edit than to originate and we also can make a pretty good guess as to what the content might be. This is because we have been consulting in this area since 1980 and have done many plans so we do have an idea as to what the content likely is.
The time required to get a company plan built is minimal. The user can download the demo software from our website and then purchase a license through Google Checkout. As soon as their credit card is approved by Google (usually instantly), the license is emailed to them. By registration their software with this license, their demo software becomes a full version and they are ready to begin. With the supplied content from us, they will have their first plan done that same day and it will usually be about 70% of what they need. They will then have to select the teams that they want to include in the plan and the people who will be on each team. They will have to read the entire plan (about 1000+ pages) and edit it to suit their own situation. And this process will usually take many weeks or months. It is important to remember that any disaster plans are never done but always a work in progress, as vulnerabilities change, people change jobs and so on. This means that periodic reviews of the plan must always be expected, usually about twice a year.
Our company (Binomial International Inc.) specializes in software, consulting, training and maintenance. We work only in business continuity & disaster recovery planning, security planning and pandemic planning.
Our software is written so that the end user can do the work themselves. However, in many cases, they see the task as daunting and will want outside help. This help can be supplied by you or by us. We are here to help if you need us.
